PROS: Probably one of the best mobile phones to come out from Nokia, its features is comparable with the leader of the N-series, the N95, and in some cases surpasses some of its features. The biggest advantage of the N82 is its 5 megapixel digital camera with a Carl Zeiss lens and optics supported with an ultra powerful xenon flash. User appreciation is accented by the 16 million color 320 x 240 pixel display and a packaged 2 GB microSD format card that can store 900 high resolution photographs or 84 minutes of DVD-like quality videos.
CONS: Nokia could have done a little bit better with the external features of the N82 especially with the color shinny silver which is not really a Nokia trademark. Another option that could have been a great addition to the features is an 8 GB storage like the N95. The keypad although handy and functional needs some time of use to get comfortable with. It would have been wonderful to incorporate the powerful xenon flash with the video recording capabilities and not just with still photography.
Overall: On the whole, there really is not much to be said on the downside of the N82 because all its features simply overwhelm whatever shortcomings it has. The use of S60v3 FP1 operating system extends the life of this stable platform. To characterize the N82, it is simple, quick and very powerful! This is surely going to be on top of the must-have list of techies and mobile phone aficionados who pursue mobile phone excellence in entertainment, navigation, photography and connectivity.
